Author and entrepreneur Fred Gatzon describes success as a process, not a goal.  He says it consists of a combination of health, happiness, love of friends and family, wisdom, influence and fulfillment.  By this definition, Agnes Palmer is living the life of a successful woman.

Agnes has devoted her life to community service, church ministry and her family.  In addition, she has had a fulfilling business career.

Having a deep desire to make a difference in both her community and among the youth, while living in New York, Agnes was elected as the youngest president in the history of the Rosedale Civic Association.  She served as the Civilian Coordinator for the USMC Reserve Toys for Tots Program and developed a pilot program for the Marines that teamed at risk youth with active Marines and community mentors in an effort to better both the young person and the community.  In addition, she taught at the Juvenile Detention Center in Nassau County, NY, and served on the advisory board of the South East Queens Community Partnership, an anti-drug community organization.

An active member of Genesis Community Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Agnes is very involved in serving God and her church by acting as a youth leader, a core member of the women’s ministry planning board and a small group facilitator.  She also serves as the Secretary for the School Advisory Council of the school her daughter attends.

Agnes considers herself fortunate to have been raised in a very close family with positive influences and sound morals.  She prides herself on raising her family with the same morals and values.  She and her husband Travis were married in 2002 and adopted a beautiful daughter at birth in 2006.  In an effort to consciously “pay it forward,” Agnes is a frequent guest speaker at churches and organizations where she shares the miracle and blessings of adoption.  She is currently in the process of developing a website devoted to adoptive families.

Professionally, Agnes has been working with Jerry Gladstone since 1992.  She began at an entry level position in one of Gladstone's companies earning only $ 300 per week and quickly rose in the ranks to vice president, overseeing the daily operations of the company.  Agnes is currently the vice president of The Pop Culture Vault and Beyond the Cage.  Throughout her career Agnes has had the opportunity to meet and work with high level and successful individuals in the animation as well as the sports and music industries.

Prior to her career with American Royal Arts, Agnes worked as a newspaper reporter, editor and pubic relations account executive in the business and political arenas.  She holds a bachelors degree from Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY, and has masters’ credits in education from Adelphi University.  She has studied abroad and lived in England where she has gained tremendous knowledge of different cultures and countries.

Why is working on The Common Thread Project important to Agnes?  “Being a part of this incredible project is a way for me to help Jerry reach millions of people who could benefit from learning how others overcame obstacles and reached their goals.  What good is being a success if you can’t help others be successful?  I am proud to have this project as part of my success process.”
